Friends of Cancer Research (Friends) is working to accelerate policy change, support groundbreaking science, and deliver new therapies to patients quickly and safely.  In this project, we will learn from representatives of the patient advocacy group Friends of Cancer Research (Friends), about their unique approach to advance cancer research through collaboration. Friends of Cancer Research is a founding member of the Pathology Innovation Collaborative Community and team members of Friends help with various workgroups as well as projects.  We are excited that Friends is sharing their experience and unique multi-stakeholder approach with us.

Project aim: to foster an understanding of the Friends approach - and what we can learn for moving digital pathology and AI forward.

Friends of Cancer Research. Friends of Cancer Research (Friends) is working to accelerate policy change, support groundbreaking science, and deliver new therapies to patients quickly and safely. Once we set a goal, we talk, we listen, we advocate, and we leave no stone unturned for patients. That’s how breakthroughs transpire. That’s how better policies happen. That’s how patients get what they need.

The Friends Approach. Friends drives collaboration among partners from every healthcare sector to power advances in science, policy, and regulation that speed life-saving treatments to patients.
